What is cardio? Cardio is just another short term for cardiovascular exercise. Cardiovascular health relates to the health of the heart and blood vessels. It also relates to the health of organs that are critically dependent on a strong blood supply. How long should your work out your heart? Well that depends on you. It varies on whether how many calories you consume a day vs. how many calories you burn a day. Based on that you will know for how long you should work out your heart. It is important to work out your heart so you wont worry about getting disease such as; diabetes , coronary heart disease, heart failure, and strokes.
The best way to prevent getting disease is by doing some cardiovascular exercises. Some fun cardio exercises are; running/jogging, walking, aerobic dance, sprinting, swimming, cycling, roller blading, and cross country skiing. These exercises will keep your heart nice and healthy. Any of these activities you choose will be good to your heart. For example say you choose walking, walking will make your heart rate go faster which will keep it healthy and wont pass the limit of your hear rate.
Last but not least, if you and I follow all these activities that will keep our heart healthy we can live a long healthy life. Choosing any of these exercises will help our hearts stay healthy. In physical education we run, walk , and even swim to keep our hearts at a steady rate. During the summer I will be lots of walking and swimming to keep my heart nice , healthy, and steady, because if I don't , I will be in risk of getting a heart disease and NOBODY wants that.
